From the Oval to the parklands

Welcome to the Adelaide Oval Bowling Club, a distinguished institution that proudly holds the title of one of the oldest bowling clubs in South Australia.

At the Adelaide Oval Bowling Club, we provide a comprehensive range of bowling activities, ensuring there's something for everyone. Our Tuesday morning social bowling is a prime example, offering a fantastic chance to connect with fellow members and enjoy a friendly game.

Our recommended dress is neat casual, (e.g. collared shirt, polo shirt, shorts or long pants) but shoes with flat soles are a must to limit damage to the Greens.

During summer, on Wednesdays, the Club selects a Pennant side of twelve bowlers to compete in the Metropolitan Bowls Association Eastern Division bowling competition. Also, members are invited to participate in the annual Club tournaments during summer. There are six events, with the finals of each event to be played by late March.

In winter, also on Wednesdays, members compete in a unique individual-type bowling event for the Clarnette-Corpe Winter Cup.

The Club takes pride in organizing a variety of social events, pie and pasty lunches and a festive Christmas lunch for Members, and for Members and friends Opening and Closing Season Awards functions and BBQs with night bowls, all designed to bring our members together in a spirit of camaraderie and fun.

Members are provided with a 'Parking Permit' to take advantage of our very limited convenient parking positions when available and the Club also provides for purchase, secure bowls storage lockers for Members to store their bowls.

Coaching for all levels of bowling standards can be arranged by the Club when requested and present members are encouraged to introduce new members.

All Club Members are expected to honour the traditions and etiquette of the sport of bowls by always showing good sportsmanship, respect for others, and the Club.
